Raising money for your local parish, or for a Diocesan Fund or Project, is a fantastic way to show your support for the work of the Church.

Event Fundraising

From taking hosting a coffee morning, bake sale, quiz or raffle to running a marathon, sponsored walk or abseiling, whatever you choose, we can help you to raise money for your local parish or Diocesan cause.

How can I start a Fundraiser?

We recommend setting up a JustGiving page to raise donations and sponsorship for your event.  You can set up a page in under 5 mins and begin fundraising.  Please follow our guidance below:

  1. Step One: Chose your event
  2. Step Two: Set up your JustGiving page. Download: Setting up a JustGiving Page to find out how to set your JustGiving page.  Begin by visiting the JustGiving Archdiocese of Southwark page and selecting the orange button 'Start Fundraising'.  Please indicate which parish or Diocese fund you want to fundraise for. Customise your page with lots of photos and stories about why you are doing your event.
  3. Step Three: Let the Fundraising Team know, so they can ensure the money you raise goes to where you want it to.  Contact the fundraising team on: fundraising@rcaos.org.uk with a link to your fundraising page.  Alternatively, feel free to contact the team if you have a fundraising idea or need help.
  4. Step Four: Promote your event.  Spread the word! Let your parish know you are fundraising for them.  The more people who know about your event, the more money you will raise.  Don’t forget: don’t be afraid to ask people to support you – the more personal your approach, the more people feel engaged with your cause and why it is important to you, the more you will raise for a great cause.

Thank you!
