Four new Canons appointed in Southwark

Following consultation with the Provost and Chapter of St George’s Cathedral, Archbishop John Wilson has appointed two new Chapter Canons and two new Honorary Canons.

Following Bishop Paul Hendrick’s appointment as Auxiliary Bishop for Kent, Fr Gerard Bradley has become Episcopal Vicar of the South West Pastoral Area, whilst Fr Victor Darlington has now taken up his appointment as Episcopal Vicar of the South East Pastoral Area. They will serve as Canons of the Metropolitan Chapter of St George and members of the College of Consultors.

As Honorary Canons the Archbishop has appointed Fr Gregory Verissimo, Judicial Vicar, and Fr Philip Glandfield, former secretary to three Archbishops.

We give thanks for their gifts and willingness to serve God’s people in the Archdiocese of Southwark.
