Let the rosary connect you to the Lord Jesus says Archbishop John
Archbishop John Wilson delivers a keynote talk on St Oscar Romero and the rosary at the launch of his latest book

At a full event in Amigo Hall, Archbishop John delivered a talk on the life and work of St Oscar Romero and his deep connection to the rosary following the publication of his latest book.
In the talk, the Archbishop spoke about how praying the rosary can be life changing - even for those who do not know where to start. In the book, the Archbishop has penned new “Romero Mysteries”, which he said can help us unite “spiritually to our Blessed Lady and in friendship to Romero, asking for strength to live our discipleship as he did”.
Speaking about the power of the rosary, Archbishop John called on people to let the rosary “connect you to the Lord Jesus and His mother”. The Archbishop of Southwark used the words of St Oscar Romero to explain why it is such a powerful form of prayer:
“St Oscar Romero said ‘those who pray the rosary, while recalling the Gospel mysteries, become Christians in the best of schools: the school of the Virgin who is the best of Christians”
Archbishop John said Romero calls “us to love Jesus and Mary, his mother, to put our faith into practice. And the Rosary is a beautiful way to do that”. The Archbishop’s beautiful and creative book contains reflections on the traditional Mysteries, as well as the new Romero Mysteries. All are illuminated for reflection and prayer by the words of St Oscar Romero.
