All are warmly invited to prepare for Pentecost with a series of seminars presented jointly by the Archdiocese of Southwark Catholic Charismatic Renewal Team and the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis.

Deepen your understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit in your life by participating in the Life in the Spirit Seminars, organised by the Southwark Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis with the support of the Southwark Charismatic Diocesan Service of Communion.

This free seminar series will take place online over five Tuesday evenings between 10th May-14th June 2022 from 8 pm-9.30 pm

In addition, a Pentecost Retreat Day will take place at Aylesford Priory Saturday on  4th June.  Places will be limited so booking in advance is essential.

Allegra Mutanda

Allegra Mutanda Allegra is a lay woman in full time ministry in the Catholic Church. She has extensive experience both in evangelisation and parish ministry and has a very engaging and warm personality. She was part of the Sion Community for many years and is currently Director of Evangelisation and Leadership at the parish of St Peter's & Winchester Martyrs in Winchester. Continue reading

Michelle Moran

Michelle, a full time lay evangelist, is the director of the Sion Community, of which she is one of the co-founders. She served as president of ICCRS (International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services) for 10 years and was a member of the Pontifical Council of the Laity. She is a well known international speaker with a passion for the gospel and equipping Catholics in their faith. Continue reading

Fr Peter Morris

Fr Peter is a Redemptorist priest who is part of the Redemptorist mission team but is currently based at St Mary's in Clapham, where he is assistant priest. He is known for his honesty and down to earth, passionate preaching. A former Goth, he has an amazing, personal conversion story which demonstrates the power of God to touch people's hearts and lives. Continue reading

Fr Paschal Uche

Fr Paschal is a young, recently ordained Catholic priest from the Brentwood diocese, based in Colchester. Fr Paschal, who has strong social media following, spoke at last year's Southwark, Life in the Spirit Seminars. His simplicity, joy and passion, touched people so much that he was the unanimous choice to lead our Pentecost retreat day. Continue reading

Joan Fernandes

Joan is a young lay woman. She has an MSc in onocology and works for the Institute of Cancer Research in London. She has been a volunteer of the Divine Retreat Centre in Ramsgate for seven years and currently oversees their music and youth ministries. Gerard Pomfret

Gerard has been involved in Charismatic Renewal since 1988. He and his wife Toni, were led to set up Goodnews Books and New Life Christian publishing Company for which he works full time. He is currently the chairman of Harvesters' men's network which seeks to evangelise and disciple men in this country and overseas and he has been on preaching missions to Africa many times. Visit of St Bernadette's Relics to St George's Cathedral, 19th -20th October 2022

This September and October the UK will welcome the relics of St Bernadette, which will travel from the Upper Basilica in Lourdes to every Diocese in England and Wales, including the Archdiocese of Southwark.
