St Mary Magdalen Roman Catholic Church, Mortlake is looking for a skilled part-time administrator to support the Priest in the day-to-day running of a busy but welcoming Parish.

Like many communities during the Pandemic the parish has seen changes and has the joy of celebrating its 170th anniversary this year. The church is open six days week, with three Masses on Sundays and works in partnership with the Parish school and an array of Parish groups including the Cemetery Gardening Team and Friday Prayer Group to form a vibrant Parish Family.

The Parish Administrator will sit at the heart of the St Mary Magdalen Parish life, helping ensure the smooth running of a complex organisation and releasing the Parish Priest to fulfil his pastoral duties. This is a family-friendly and rewarding role that has scope to be shaped by the post-holder.

The post-holder will need to share or be sensitive to Christian beliefs and work actively to support the ministry and vision of the parish. We believe in the equality of all, so no one should feel excluded from applying.

Salary: The salary will be £15 per hour for an initial 12 hours per week, subject to statutory deductions.

Hours: The proposed work schedule would from 10 am - 1 pm Monday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, some flexibility on these hours could be negotiated. There is no entitlement to overtime unless a specific arrangement has been agreed.
