The Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Aylesford Priory is the home of a community of Carmelite Friars.

It first became a place of prayer in 1242 and the site enjoys a rich history.  Beside the medieval buildings and inspiring monastic setting, there is a modern shrine to Our Lady with some of the finest modern religious art in the country. The Priory also houses the skull of St Simon Stock in the Relic Chapel.

In the 21st Century, the Priory continues to be a place of pilgrimage and peace.
