2025 dates for commissioning Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
The three dates for the commissioning of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion for 2025 are now available
The commissioning days in 2025 will take place on:
- Saturday 1 February 2025 at St George’s Cathedral
- Saturday 10 May 2025 at Aylesford
- Saturday 11 October 2025 at St George’s Cathedral
Earlier this year, around 60 people were commissioned as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at St George’s Cathedral. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion play an important role in parish life, by helping the parish community through distributing the Eucharist. While this may often be during the Mass, the role may also include taking Holy Communion to people in the wider parish community who are housebound due to health, age or disability.
