The Archdiocese of Southwark announces the following appointments

Fr Stephen Langridge has been permitted to take up an appointment in the Diocese of Albany, USA, for five years, and remains a priest of the Archdiocese of Southwark. Fr Stephen will leave the Parish of St Elizabeth of Portugal after 27 September 2026, and his new contact details will follow in due course.

Fr Francis Murphy, currently the Parish Priest of St John the Baptist, Purley, has been appointed Parish Priest of St Elizabeth of Portugal, Richmond. Fr Francis will take up his new appointment from 10 October 2026.

Fr Sebanesaratnam Sebamalai, currently the Parish Priest of Our Lady Help of Christians, Old Coulsdon, has been appointed Parish Priest of St John the Baptist, Purley. Fr Seba will take up his new appointment from 10 October 2026.

Fr Oliver Antao, currently the Parish Priest of St Peter, Bearsted and Harrietsham, has been appointed Parish Priest of Our Lady Help of Christians, Old Coulsdon. Fr Antao will take up his new appointment after 12 October 2026.

Fr Peter Gee, a priest of the Archdiocese of Southwark currently living as a member of the Cardiff Oratory, will take a year out of the Oratory and has been appointed Parish Priest of St Peter, Bearsted and Harrietsham. Fr Peter will take up his new appointment from 12 October 2026.
