An ancient candlelit service of Holy Week

In the ancient prayer of Tenebrae, the Church enters this darkness. Candles are extinguished one by one as we hear the Lamentations and the Passion of the Lord. Yet one light is not put out.

Tenebrae teaches us what the Church has always believed: the darkness of the Cross is real, but it does not overcome the Light.

Join us at 7pm, Spy Wednesday, 1 April 2026 at St George's Cathedral. Confessions available throughout. Father Phil Andrews will be presiding and preaching.
