Funeral Arrangements for Father John Ryan MBE
Father John Ryan’s funeral will be taking place in Ireland shortly, but before this, there will be a farewell for him in Southwark at St Mary of the Crays, Crayford DA1 4DN and all are warmly welcome.
Wednesday 10 September 2025 at 5pm
Bishop Pat Lynch will preside at Mass – Fr John’s body will be received just before and will remain in the church overnight. The church will remain open until 10pm for anyone wishing to come to pray and to pay their respects.
On Thursday 11 September, Fr John’s body will be removed in readiness for his departure for Ireland.
Clergy are welcome to take part in the Mass – please bring purple diocesan vestments or White Choir. Please let the parish know asap if you intend to be present
Light refreshments will be available afterwards.
