Lourdes 125 Walk passes through Southwark
Bishop Paul Hendricks joined the Catholic Association's Lourdes 125 walk
The Catholic Association's Lourdes 125-sponsored walk, marking 125 years of the Association's pilgrimages to Lourdes, passed through the Archdiocese of Southwark this week.
Bishop Paul Hendricks, President of the Catholic Association, joined walker Matt Betts at Aylesford Priory, where they prayed the Angelus together before setting off towards Rochester. Matt then continued alone through Strood, Gravesend, Blackheath and Greenwich, stopping at Rochester Cathedral and St George's Cathedral along the way. In total, 22.4 miles were covered on this leg.
Matt has expressed his gratitude for all who have sponsored him and the team so far. To support the walk, which still has Portsmouth, Northampton and East Anglia to come, visit justgiving.com/page/calourdes125sw.
