Jesus trembles with joy when you seek His mercy

Archbishop John leads a Lent Reconciliation at St George’s Cathedral

As we prepare for the Paschal Triduum, Archbishop John led a Reconcilitation Service at St George's Cathedral so people could experience God’s healing mercy and renew their spirit to journey with the Lord through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

In his reflection, encouraging people to seek the mercy of Christ in the Sacrament of Penance, Archbishop John said:

For those who love Him and after each fault come to ask His pardon, Jesus trembles with joy.

The Archbishop explained that it does not matter how long it has been since you last went to confession, if you do not know what to say, or you cannot remember all your sins - the Lord Jesus is calling you to receive His mercy.

After the Liturgy of the Word, there was an extended period of Eucharistic adoration - during which people were able to encounter the healing mercy of Christ in confession. Praise and worship throughout the service was led by Father Joseph Gulliford.
