2. Beholding the Person: A Spirituality Foundation for Safeguarding
CACS Level 2 Safeguarding Training
Saturday, 17 October 2026 | 3:45 – 6:00 PM UK time | Online via Zoom
Immediately following Bishop Varden's session, this is our Level 2 Safeguarding Training, grounding safeguarding practice in Carmelite theological anthropology rather than compliance language alone. The day includes a Key Issues in Safeguarding briefing with live Q&A from independent safeguarding advisor Simon Bass, and a guided session asking whether “survivor” is even the right word for us to use. It is open to anyone involved in safeguarding work, not only those connected to CACS.
Cost: By donation
CPD Certificate: Available (Level 2 Safeguarding Training)
Register at: https://www.carmelite.uk.net/beholding-the-person/
Both sessions will be recorded for anyone who registers but cannot attend at the scheduled time, or who wishes to view again — registrants will be notified once each recording is ready.
