“MagnifiCards”: an Advent day retreat on the Magnificat
Reflection and lino printing at the FCJ Centre in London on Saturday 5 December
The FCJ Centre for Spirituality and EcoJustice in London is holding an Advent day retreat on the Magnificat on Saturday 5 December, from 10am to 4pm. An optional Vigil Mass follows at 4.30pm.
“MagnifiCards” is led by Sr MaryAnne Francalanza of the Faithful Companions of Jesus and John Paul de Quay, an illustrator and director of the Ecological Conversion Group charity.
The day begins with guided reflection on the Magnificat. Participants will then develop their reflections into Christmas cards in a lino carving and printing workshop. All materials will be provided, and people are welcome to bring their own lino printing, dry media, pens or watercolour equipment.
The day is for those who consider themselves artistically challenged as well as accomplished artists, with time for contemplation, discussion, learning and creativity. Refreshments and a simple lunch are included.
Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended. To book, please visit: https://tinyurl.com/magnificards
