Join with the Bishops of England and Wales to pray a Holy Hour for the dignity of all human life as peers in the House of Lords continue to debate whether to make Assisted Suicide law.

On Sunday, 19 April at 4:30 pm (UK time), the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales will hold a Holy Hour to pray for the promotion of a culture of life in our lands.

Parishes and Catholic communities are being asked to unite and hold a Holy Hour on the same day as the Bishops.

This is to present a unified, prayerful front to offer this petition to Our Lord for the dignity of life from conception to natural end and to pray that assisted suicide will not become law.

On the need to oppose assisted suicide and abortion, Archbishop John said:

"As baptised followers of the Lord Jesus we must do all within our power to support the most vulnerable in our society, especially those who have no voice to speak for themselves."

Structure and Prayer

The Rite of Exposition, Adoration, Benediction and Reposition should always be used in worship in Eucharistic Adoration.

If a person wants to observe a personal Holy Hour where the Blessed Sacrament is not exposed, then the use of readings and reflections in this document can help.

This structure is recommended when taking part in Eucharistic Adoration.

have left us a memorial of your Passion,
