We are doing everything we can to make this pilgrimage possible for as many young people as possible and will keep you updated as plans develop.

Details of how to fundraise are available on our website here.

We suggest a simple, open, and fair process. It would be good to announce to the parish that two places are available and invite any interested young adults to come forward by a clear date, either through a short conversation or brief expression of interest. This gives everyone a fair opportunity to be considered.

From there, the clergy, perhaps with one or two suitable parish leaders, could discern who of these is already engaged in parish life, who is most likely to benefit from the experience, and who may return encouraged to contribute positively to the parish afterwards.

If several equally suitable candidates emerge, a simple draw could then be used as a fair and transparent way of making the final decision. If nobody comes forward initially, you could then approach suitable individuals directly.
