We invite parishes across the Archdiocese to apply for funded access to Life Teen youth ministry training, resources and ongoing support. This initiative is designed not simply to provide programmes, but to help parishes confidently build and sustain ministry with young people aged 14-18.

Many parishes want to support young people but face practical challenges including:

limited volunteers
lack of training
time pressures
uncertainty about where to begin

This programme aims to help address those challenges through practical resources, leader formation and ongoing accompaniment. Check out the Life Teen website here.

Details of Programme

Selected parishes will receive access to ongoing online training, formation and practical support for parish leaders and volunteers, helping parishes build confident and sustainable youth ministry teams.

This includes:

  • Online training for parish leaders and volunteers
  • Access to the Life Teen & Franciscan University of Steubenville Youth Ministry Certificate
  • Youth ministry coaching and guidance
  • Core Team formation materials
  • Ready-made youth session plans
  • Retreat and small group resources
  • Access to the full Life Teen resource library
  • Ongoing support to help parishes grow and develop ministry with young people

All resources are faithful to Catholic teaching and rooted in:

  • Sacred Scripture
  • The Catechism
  • YOUCAT
  • Church teaching and the Sacraments

Life Teen is an internationally recognised Catholic youth ministry programme helping young people encounter Christ through prayer, catechesis, community and discipleship.

Each Life Night follows a structure inspired by the Mass:

  • Gather
  • Proclaim
  • Break
  • Send

The resources are designed to help parishes evangelise and accompany young people in a practical, engaging and faithful way.

  • Parish clergy
  • Parish youth leaders
  • Parish leadership teams

No previous youth ministry experience is required.
